1. What Information We Collect

Purchasing Information: Purchase information, user's name, organization name, user's job title, online contact information, physical contact information. This information is used for the following purposes:

This information is used by us and our agents. The information collected during the purchasing process is used to deliver the product, provide post-purchase customer service and technical support, and as a means to maintaining contact and providing important and relevant updates to the Websense customer base, including information on new features, technical tips, product updates, new solutions, services offerings, and bug fixes.
Websense does not in any way sell, lease or rent your information to third parties. By purchasing a Websense product or service, you consent to the use of your email address and other contact data to be kept up to date on Websense's products and services. If you do not wish for your information to be used for the above-mentioned purposes and not to be kept up to date on Websense's products and services, send an email to privacy@websense.com requesting to opt-out. Please note that by opting out, you acknowledge and agree that you will not receive emails concerning upgrades and enhancements to Websense products.
Online Feedback: User's name, online contact information, content. (At the user's option we may also collect the organization name and physical contact information.) This information is used by ourselves and our agents for the purpose of completing and supporting the current activity, website and system administration, and research and development. The information regarding product feedback, technical support, change suggestions, or other online feedback you provide, will be used to improve our products and services, and to keep you up to date on Websense's products and services. By providing online feedback, you consent to the use of your email address and other contact data.
Websense does not in any way sell, lease or rent your information to third parties. If you do not wish for your email address or other contact data to be used, send an email to privacy@websense.com requesting to opt-out.
Many of the above-mentioned categories of information include Personally Identifiable Information. By providing us with Personally Identifiable Information you consent to our processing this information for the above purposes. You also consent to our transferring this information to countries or jurisdictions which do not provide the same level of data protection as within Europe, if necessary, for the above purposes. If we do make such a transfer, we will, if appropriate, put a contract in place to ensure your Personally Identifiable Information is protected.
3. Sharing Your Information
We will only share the Personally Identifiable Information you provide to us with other Websense entities, our business partners and/or our service providers or agents for the purposes described in section 2 above or as otherwise consented to by you.
To the extent we share information with our service providers or agents, such businesses are bound by contract with us to maintain the confidentiality of such information (and for transfers to the U.S. from the European Economic Area, in a manner consistent with the U.S. Safe Harbor—see Section 9 below—or other adequacy finding). Sometimes our sharing of information may involve transferring Personally Identifiable Information to and from the European Economic Area and to and from the United States of America.
Compliance with the law. We may release account and other personal information to comply with applicable law, for reasons relating to national security, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Websense (and our employees), our users, or others. 4. Your Choices
We and our business partners may contact you by mail, telephone, fax, email or other electronic messaging service with offers of goods, services, promotions or other information that may be of interest to you. By providing us with your contact details you consent to being contacted by these methods for these purposes. You may opt-out of receiving marketing messages from Websense by sending an email with your name, full mailing address and email address to privacy@websense.com or by unsubscribing via the Communication Preference Center.
5. Accessing and Changing Your Information.
Websense seeks to ensure that your information and preferences are accurate and complete and you have the right to change your information and/or preferences at any time. 9. Safe Harbor Statement
Websense follows the U.S. Department of Commerce safe harbor framework ("U.S. Safe Harbor") regarding adequate privacy protection respecting the collection, use and retention of personal data received from the European Economic Area. In the event of a dispute regarding personal information transferred from the European Economic Area to the U.S., Websense shall endeavor to resolve such dispute directly with the complainant. Such disputes which are not capable of direct resolution shall be resolved depending on the nature of the personal information, by either resorting to applicable European Data Protection Authorities or by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its applicable arbitration rules. 10. Other Information
Websense or any of its related entities could merge with or be acquired by another business entity or their respective assets could be acquired. Should such a combination or acquisition occur, Websense would likely share some or all of your personally Identifiable Information so that the surviving entity could continue serving you. By providing your Personally Identifiable Information you agree that we may transfer such information to the acquiring entity without your further consent, although we will provide notice of any such combination or acquisition on our website.
